About the exhibition
Vivian Ho’s paintings of slaughtered animals are like still-life. She draws the butcher of livestock with vivid hues and light ink wash. The killed individuals are piled up and become residues with no soul. Vivian chooses not to paint the brutality of human to control others’ lives with bloody images. She suppresses the dark side and makes disturbed scenes poetic. The pleasant images satirize the beautiful lies that human often make to cover inhumane behaviour and the self-deception attitude.

關於展覽
透過一幅幅猶如靜物寫生、以被屠宰的動物為主題的畫作，何博欣以絢麗的顏色及淡淡的水墨繪畫牲畜遭人類宰殺、切割、處理，然後成為食材。生命的個體被屠宰後被堆疊起來，剩下一堆沒靈魂的渣滓。何博欣不用血淋淋的影像去表達人類殘酷的控制別的生命，她抑壓了黑暗面，把令人不安的東西畫得富美感，悅目的畫面像在諷刺人類常以美麗的謊言和自我欺騙的態度去包裝著不仁道的行為。
